The Darebin Basketball Development Programs are designed to deliver high quality coaching in a fun and safe basketball environment. With a focus on the fundamental skills of the game, our development programs are a great introduction to a lifetime of involvement in the game at a high level.

Children learn the fundamental motor skills for future physical activity and sports participation along with the basics of fitness conditioning, muscle management and well-being. Important physiological and mental skills are nurtured, respect for others as well as social, teamwork and cooperation skills are developed.

Contact with coaches and other children provides valuable role modelling, while the children are exposed to multi-functional environments creating greater self-confidence.

At Darebin Basketball, the development programs range from beginner level programs teaching the basics, to domestic and representative level programs, for existing players to get the higher level coaching they need to reach their basketball goals.

Each week our experienced coaches deliver a professionally designed program to match the requirement of the group.
