The Darebin Basketball Association (DBA) runs a senior domestic basketball competition for men on Monday nights at the Darebin Community Sport Stadium (857 Plenty Rd, Reservoir). It is open to anyone over the age of 16 and provides an ideal opportunity for some fun and fitness with family members or friends from work or study.
The competition focuses on providing a friendly and enjoyable atmosphere for players of all standards and experience.
We service the north east of Melbourne centered around the municipalities of Darebin and Banyule although participation is most welcome from further afield. Many of our teams and players come from suburbs like Collingwood, Carlton, Coburg, Brunswick, Northcote, Fairfield, Alphington, Ivanhoe, Heidelberg, Preston, Reservoir, Thomastown, Bundoora, Rosanna and Watsonia.
The 2024 Autumn Season starts on the 5th February, and registrations are now open.
Teams compete in three grades (following grading phase) and are required to follow competition rules set by the Association (see link right).

Team registration is $50 for the season. Player registration is $12 per player. The weekly team sheet fee is $90 per team (paid before game starts through the app, Teampay).
Basketball Victoria require each player to hold a current Participation License which is renewed annually at a cost of $43 (or $29, if under 18). The license normally last for two seasons. When a player registers for a season their license will be renewed if it is due to expire within the season dates. A license renewal extends the license for an additional 365 days so no value is lost.
